Brothers Services was contacted by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition;
ABC's hit television show, to be the roofing contractor on its next makeover
project that is happening right now in Northeast Baltimore. The project is
the rebuilding of the Girls Hope group home, which helps teens better themselves
through education, community services, and more. Brothers Services is donating
the installation of the home’s new metal, asphalt and rubber roofs.

Steve Zwagil, president of Brothers Services Co. in Hampstead,
whose employees put on the roof, looked around the inside
of the house late Sunday afternoon — at the 100 or more
people "working feverishly" —
and thought, "There's
no way this is going to get done by this evening."

Steve Zwagil was asking his wife, Phyllis, if she thought
his company, Brothers Services, should consider building
the roof for an upcoming “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” project.
Mr. Zwagil didn’t even complete the question when his
wife responded, “You’ve got to do it.”
Boys Hope Girls Hope was created
with a vision to house young people in a supportive atmosphere
and give them an opportunity to continue their education away
from the destructive environments they’d lived in previously.
For the Extreme Makeover team, along with hundreds
of local volunteers, it’s a great chance to give back
to youngsters who made the difficult choice of leaving home
to pursue their dream of getting a good education. The Emmy
